Disable scripts security warning when attempt to view Local content with activex control in IE9

Sometimes when you open the local content with Activex in IE9, the browser by default will give you the warning: “Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls”, which will be annoying if you need to open the content frequently and already known your content are safe.

Here is the way you can disable it:

  1. Go to Internet Options -> Advanced in IE9, scroll down to the security section and find the option Allow active content to run in files on My Computer
  2. Enabling this option should allow those content to run (Note: make sure you know the content is safe)
